💰 June 2026: European HRTech Investment Update - M&A 🚀

Here comes the update for M&A activity in June 2026. The debate on AI's impact on SaaS business models and valuations keeps running in the background, but it isn't slowing European HR Tech consolidation down. If anything, observing the HRTech market closely it feels like consolidation is even accelerating further whilst larger PE platform deals become more selective.

One dominant theme in June: platform players keep rounding out the employee lifecycle by folding payroll, learning, and workforce management under one roof (Cezanne/Learn Amp, BCS/Timegrip, Citation/PayCaptain, SD Worx/HR Service), while EOR providers like Rivermate double down on building genuine local delivery capability in strategic geographies. The month also delivered one of the year's larger tickets outside pure software: Korn Ferry's ~$1.1bn agreement to acquire Alexander Mann Solutions, a reminder that scale consolidation isn't limited to HR Tech alone.

Here is the summary for what happened in June 2026:

𝐇𝐑𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:

📝 BCS HR Software (🇳🇱) backed by Main Capital Partners acquired Timegrip (🇳🇴) creating a pan-European HCM, payroll and workforce management platform with strong market positions across the Benelux, Nordics, and DACH. The transaction marks the third strategic business combination supported by Main in recent weeks, further underscoring its strategy of building stronger software groups through the combination of complementary international software companies: https://main.nl/press-release/bcs-and-timegrip-join-forces/

📝 Banyan Software (🇺🇸) acquired M3 INFORMATICA SL (🇪🇸), a Madrid-based software company founded in 1990 that offers payroll and workforce management for the Spanish public sector. M3’s founders spent their careers inside the Spanish healthcare system before building SAINT, a platform purpose-built for the regulatory and workforce complexity of public institutions. SAINT handles what generic HR systems can’t: the position-based structures, compliance requirements, and payroll rules that govern how Spanish public sector organizations actually operate: https://banyansoftware.com/2026/06/09/m3/

📝 Asys (🇫🇷) backed by CAPZA acquired m-work (🇫🇷), a start-up focused on optimising workplace organisation and hybrid work environments. 📝 PsychPlus (🇺🇸) acquired Koa Health (🇬🇧), a multinational digital mental health vendor best known for building clinically validated digital mental health platforms in the world. Some deals were also communicated in the HR services, consulting & outsourcing space (less HR Tech) that are notable as they are oftentimes partners in the ecosystem and also moving closer together by advanced tech:

📝 Korn Ferry (🇺🇸) entered into a definitive agreement with OMERS Private Equity to acquire Alexander Mann Solutions (🇬🇧) for an aggregate purchase price of approximately GBP850 million (~$1.1B), consisting of ~GBP659m in cash and ~GBP191m in Korn Ferry common stock: https://ir.kornferry.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/724/korn-ferry-announces-definitive-agreement-to-acquire-ams

📝 Spencer Stuart (🇺🇸) acquired Dr. Bjørn Johansson Associates AG (🇨🇭), a Zurich-based, founder-led leadership advisory firm, through which Dr. Bjørn Johansson Associates will be integrated into Spencer Stuart. Combining the two organizations marks an important step in Spencer Stuart’s strategy to expand its client reach and offering in key markets globally, enabling leaders and their organizations to perform with excellence: https://www.spencerstuart.com/who-we-are/newsroom/spencer-stuart-welcomes-zurich-based-leadership-advisory-firm
