In September HR Tech fundings for new start-ups or uprising scale-ups picked up again compared to a less busy August summer month. There have been some really noteworthy investments in early-stage and Series-A/ Series-B HRTech ventures in Europe. The investments again underline that AI is driving innovation in all disciplines of HRTech. This time UK and Spain lead in numbers of investments in September. AI-driven recruitment again is 🔥...

💵 TERN Group (UK) raised a $24M Series-A round led by UK-based Notion Capital, with participation from RTP Global, LocalGlobe, EQ2 Ventures, Leo Capital, Presight, Tom Stafford (Co-Founder, DST Global, the former NHS Chairman, the CEO of AXA Healthcare and several senior policymakers to build the future of global healthcare workforce. 💵 MyEdSpace (UK) raised a $15M Series-A round led by White Star Capital with participation from Educapital, Emerge VC, Active Partners and Coalition Capital for its online learning platform offering live, interactive lessons for UK students. The new funding will support hiring more teachers, adding subjects, and advancing AI-powered learning tools to improve the student experience. 💵 clockin (DE) raised a €10M Series-A round led by Newion and NRW Ventures, with participation from existing investors SCALEHOUSE Capital and D11Z. Ventures for its time tracking, resource planning, and absence management software for frontline worker heavy SMBs (e.g. craftsmen). 💵 Orbio AI (ES) raised a €6.4M Seed round led by Visionaries Club, who doubled down after investing in an earlier round, with additional participation from Plus Partners, Enzo Ventures and 2100 Ventures for "the world’s first AI-native human capital management (HCM) system“. 💵 TALENTIQA (CZ) raised a €1.1M Seed round backed by Purple Ventures and Venture to Future Fund to expand its AI-powered hiring assistant. The investment is set to accelerate Talentiqa’s rollout across Europe and beyond. The company was initially launched under the name Jobsider, in close collaboration with HR professionals to test features. Additional start-ups reported smaller or undisclosed funding including SAPIO (CH) and AIBLE Simulations (UK).
🌎 Interesting global fundings include the $150M+ in debt funding for EarnIn (earned wage access; US), the $35M Series-A for Scale AI rival micro1 (US), the $17M Series-A of Alex AI (job interview automation; US).
